Paso Picacho Campground 2016

by Gary Hawkins, August 16, 2016

This would be our only trip to the Pasa Picacho campground in 2016 unless we went last minute on a whim. The weather report looked good. Mark (a good friend of mine) and his two sons, Alex and August, were planning to join us. I know Mark was excited about getting the boys under canvass; they planned to join us Saturday afternoon.

Friday turned out to be a leisurely day. Setup the campsite and then stroll around the campground and trails. Xaria was toddling now, so we had to be a little more vigilant just to ensure she stayed out of trouble. Of particular concern at this age is rattlesnakes; Xaria isn't old enough to realize the danger.

Having Mark and the boys over turned out to be a lot of fun.  Xaria loved playing with Alex and August, and when the children were asleep, it gave us adults a chance to catch-up.
